I went mountain biking with Daisie, Tom and Josh over the weekend, and managed to scrape up my knee pretty bad. I took the wrong part of a turn which put me off balance about a foot above the rest of the trail, and I came crashing down sideways. It could have been much worse though, and I'm pretty happy I got away with the scrape and some bruises.

Now I'm waiting for them to heal, which has stopped me from doing some of my usual things this week, like playing ultimate and riding my bike to work. I've taken up some of the slack by studying up on jazz theory, which I would have had a good chance to learn in high school, but I just wasn't interested back then (when it was all drums drums drums :) Dorian, dominant, diminished... we'll see how much of this stuff I can understand and remember... and then we'll see if I can teach any of it to high school kids :) Outside Shore seems to have a pretty good online reference for this stuff, fyi.
